Tate Hardwood Tile
Natural Luxury Finish for Access Floors
Compu-teck’s engineered wood tile is a natural wood wear layer bonded to an Albasia wood backer board. Available in two standard patterns the finish is made from reclaimed timber waste that can equal up to 90% of the wear layer. The 100% Albasia wood backer is a rapidly renewable tropical species that is compressed and laminated into vertical ply. The sides of the tile are square with the top edges beveled. The surface of the tile is coated with High Solids oil that penetrates deep into the wood providing a durable finish.
Scratches, wear patterns or fading can be easily repaired. Routine maintenance is low tech and relies on the use of relying on damp mopping, sweeping / vacuuming, and the use of botanical oil soap to clean, hydrate and sustain wood luster. For areas of high traffic, soil and damage, restoration can be done without having to sand the floor - by using compatible cleaner, and buffed in ecological repair oil to the effected areas to bring back the original appearance of the wood.
A recent study conducted by Johnson Controls, Haworth and IDEA found that over 50% of people prefer wood finishes in the workplace.
